EB Studio is looking for talented Environment Artists to join us in making awe-inspiring visuals for the new worlds we are creating. This is an amazing opportunity to work with world-class art talent and to be part of a new IP from the ground up. We are looking for people who are eager to find new ways to improve as artists and who excel in an environment where we motivate and encourage each other to reach new creative heights. Together, we are pushing past the limit of what is possible in game development.

Examples of what you will do

• Modelling environment geometry from simple mass-out to finished states

• Match art styles defined by the Art Director and Concept Artists

• Collaborating closely with 3D modelers and Game Designers

• Assess, critique, and help to improve our capabilities in environmental lighting, textures, and asset creation

• Work with engineering to evolve new and better ways of building worlds

• Work closely with the team and creative leads to elevate and evangelize our artistic vision

What you will bring

• Considerable experience of working in AAA digital game development as an Environment Artist

Lighting artist
Art

EB Studio looking for a skilled Lighting Artist to create the project-defining lighting scenarios that will help us forge the look and feel of our world. You will be responsible for lighting our in-game environments and characters. You will work closely with our Technical Artists and help them define shaders & materials that will work best with our way of lighting. With the power of UE5 and an amazing team behind the project, we will push the boundaries of what is thought possible within a game engine. Since UE5 is bringing some new tools to the table it is important that you are up to date and have a great understanding of lighting within Unreal Engine.

Examples of what you will do

• Light our game environments

• Work closely with our Level Designers to balance beautiful scenery with the desired gameplay

• Contribute to making the light coherent throughout the game

• Work with Programmers and Technical Artists in developing new features and techniques to use in production

• Keep an eye on performance and optimize lights to work well on all platforms we are shipping on

• Collaborate with the Art Director, Concept Artists and Environment Artists to deliver the visual mood from concept art and references

What you will bring

• Considerable experience of working in AAA digital game development as a Lighting Artist

• A game lighting specialty, with extensive experience working in real-time game engines

• Great understanding of lighting fundamentals

• Understanding of the technical limitations and requirements for in-game art making

• Great understanding of common game lighting as well as rendering techniques and methods (PBR)

• Experienced in one or more game engines

• The ability to tackle difficult tasks with a “nothing is impossible” mindset

Material Artist
Art

EB Studio is looking for an ambitious Material Artist to be a part of our team. We need someone who is creative and have a burning passion for their craft. You will develop industry-defining textures and materials that push the realism within our game, help us tell a story within the game environment, and elevate it to new heights.

Examples of what you will do

• Create highly detailed materials, masks, and textures for characters, game environments, and world assets using tools like Substance Designer and Painter

• Collaborate with Technical Artists to develop advanced shaders, optimize assets, create efficient tile-able textures, smart materials in Substance, as well as communicate any challenges as you go

• Document production workflows and communicate them to fellow colleagues

• Assist in material library creation

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of material art pipelines

• Collaborate with other departments to maintain the visual quality and processes across the development

• Research new texture tools and techniques to create environments that push the realism of our game

What you will bring

• Significant experience in art tools, shaders and pipeline creation for interactive entertainment

• An extensive portfolio of materials at AAA/realism quality

• Considerable experience of working in AAA game development

• Excellent Substance skills

• Strong modelling skills in 3DS Max, Blender, Maya, and/or equivalent tools

• Familiarity with node-based game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine

• Solid understanding of PBR rendering and material/light interactions

Prop Artist
Art

EB Studio is looking for a skilled Prop Artist to join us in creating a broad range of props for the awe-inspiring new worlds we are creating. This is an amazing opportunity to work with world-class art talent and to be part of a new IP from the ground up. We are looking for people who are eager to find new ways to improve as artists and who excel in an environment where we motivate and encourage each other to reach new creative heights. Together, we are pushing past the limit of what is possible in game development.

Examples of what you will do

• Assess, critique, and help to improve our capabilities in prop shapes, textures, and pipelines

• Work with engineering to evolve new and better ways of creating props

• Work closely with the Art Director, Environment Artists and Level Designers to make sure that all assets follow the artistic vision of the game

• Contribute to an open and constructive dialogue within the Prop Artist team as well as with other teams across production

• Communicate your ideas for props in a professional manner with renders, concepts and models

‍• Create high-quality 3D props from concepts and ideas, with a range from rocks to spaceships

What you will bring

• Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

• Considerable experience of working in AAA digital game development as a Prop Artist

• A basic understanding of the PBR pipeline within the Substance Suite

• Thorough understanding of video game development & the different pipelines in the art process

• Good decision-making capabilities
